Chicago may be the home of deep-dish pizza, but you’ll never find it on the menu at this Wicker Park pizzeria. The only pizza served here is the East Coast-style, thin-crust variety (one of the co-owners hails from Connecticut). Diners can order one of Piece’s specialty pizzas or create their own using one of the bases—red, white, or plain—and a variety of ingredients ranging from the traditional tomatoes and mushrooms to the more adventurous clams and bacon. And what’s pizza without beer? Ten regional microbrews and seven house-brewed beers are on hand to wash it all down. Saturdays feature karaoke with a live band--a great twist for added fun. There are also flat-screen TVs at the bar so diners could hang out for a game before or after dinner.
