Originally designed as a tennis club in the 1950s by Frank Lloyd Wright protégé
Hiram Hudson Benedict, the resort was completely renovated in 2001. The understated
elegance first defined by Benedict is still here. The resort’s spa was expanded
and seems to include practically every treatment under the sun, from standard facials
to acupuncture. The spa menu includes several Asian-inspired treatments including
Thai massage and shiatsu. The resort retains its commitment to the championship
tennis courts that defined it from the start, but the grounds are also ideal for Yoga and
meditation. Guided desert hikes are also available.
