Wolfgang Puck is perhaps the best known name in and outside of the culinary world, and Spago Beverly Hills is the flagship of his empire. This Los Angeles institution continues to draw the biggest names in town, from Tom Cruise to Sidney Poitier. Celebs pack the house nightly, looking to talk show business and indulge in the fine American cuisine from executive chef Lee Hefter, who uses only fresh (and often local) produce on the seasonal menu. Famous restaurateur and interior designer Barbara Lazaroff created the elegant and colorful dining room, where patrons enjoy the likes of iced Kumamoto and Fanny Bay oysters, grilled prime bone-in New York steak and, of course, Puck’s signature pizzas.
